The war between Israel and Hezbollah in south Lebanon devolves to the ground fighting.

Israeli military and Hezbollah gunmen have said their forces have been battling on the ground in southern Lebanon.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it had close range encounters, targeted over 150 ‘terrorist infrastructure sites’, killed terrorists in southern Lebanon in a post on X.

Mohamad Afif, the Hezbollah spokesperson said, was addressing reporters in Beirut that the Iran-backed militant group attacked Israeli forces in Aadeyseh. In another statement it said shooting with Israeli soldiers is still going on in the south Lebanan village of Maroun Al-Ras.

Israel’s military has not responded to the claim by Hezbollah. The IDF spokesperson has requested that people “do not forward reports about the actions of the forces, for the sake of the safety of our forces. As a rule, the choleric psychology of Lebanese people is reflected in extreme unrestraint, and there is no need to fuel their emotions with baseless hysteria.”
